How we Started

A journey into the den of

trafficking to saving and

mending broken hearts

Yemisi OLARINDE
CEO/President MIAP

THE STORY

It all began in 2001. A quick walk in Cotonou, the business capital of Benin Republic would show Yemisi Olarinde a sight she had never seen before. Young girls, 16 and above, lined up by the road at a red light district waiting to be picked by male customers.

Her heart broke upon seeing them and without thinking twice, she approached them to understand why they had chosen this life.  Apparently, they were trafficked from Nigeria and forced into prostitution by pimps.

This experience changed Yemisi and gave birth to the MIAP organization. Ever since then, she has devoted her time and resources to rescuing individuals caught in this wicked web of human degradation. Today, she has continued to involve the participation of proactive change agents to the cause and that has led to the growth of the organization.

Our Mission

It’s been years since slavery was abolished. You’d think that a world without human trafficking would be a no-brainer, right? Wrong, the world is still far from it.

Well, we’re here to make that a reality! P-War or MIAP is on a mission to put an end to this global anomaly.

Our mission is simple: to stop human trafficking in its tracks, one rescue at a time. We believe that everyone has the right to live free from exploitation and abuse, and we’re resolved in our approach to make this a reality.

With a team of dedicated and passionate individuals, we’re tackling human trafficking head-on. We’re raising awareness, providing support to victims, and working closely with law enforcement agencies to bring traffickers to justice.

NOTRE MISSION

Protéger les jeunes africains contre la traite des êtres humains en sensibilisant pour protéger les personnes vulnérables et en les engageant dans une formation professionnelle intellectuellement stimulante pour les aider à échapper au chômage et à la pauvreté
