WHO WE ARE
Peacemaker’s Women at Risk believes in the fight against human-trafficking. We are a faith-based organization, founded in 2007, whose obligation is to reach low-income communities across Africa, to rescue and prevent the exploitation of young African girls, women and children.
HOW WE WORK
PREVENTION
Public sensitization campaigns both online and offline are organized all round the year, by doing this, we bring awareness to people in different communities, educating them on what, where and how to prevent human trafficking.
RESCUE
Rescuing is our main focus, we work with law enforcement officer, with local and international security organizations as partners, that safely go in and extract these victims in young girls, women and children.
REHABILITATION
Rebuilding the lives of traumatized victims takes more than a day or two of on-the-spot counselling, we take them in, providing a safe home for emotional recovery and through professional rehabilitation procedure
SURVIVOR CARE
We provide a shelter to live, provide medical support for their medical needs and advocacy and legal support while living in a safe environment. With the financial and resource support from partners, we can provide survival care for the girls.
EDUCATE
We believe that the key to a better brighter future is through education, we have several different ways to educate: returning to school, skill training and acquisition, mentoring, and adult education programs, job preparation/ programme, budgeting, financial planning, opening bank accounts for each girl, teaching more skills e.t.c
EMPOWER
We provide startup financial for our girls, who have completed their skill training, graduated and are looking to start up new businesses, these is to only support the business at start up level, allowing them to practicalize all they’ve been taught.
